Welcome to My World!
When I was 36 years old, I experienced my first transformation.
An Alchemical Hypnotherapy experience, a deep facilitation for changing the subconscious mind, guided me to meet my 13-year-old self. Stunned and frozen, a belief was revealed that she contributed to her mother’s sudden death due to her developing intuition. This process released years of suppressed tears and emotion, transforming a dark hole into a loving space.
For the first time since my mom’s sudden death, I felt a deep love for her and pure sorrow for her tragic death and my loss.
Immediately I enrolled in a year-long training to study Alchemical Hypnotherapy.
My Early Career
After being placed on academic probation in college, I defaulted into the field of psychology. I wanted to help others but had not realized that I was also in need of the education and services I eventually provided.
I obtained my degrees and then worked at psychiatric hospitals and centers where I held the lead clinical positions in a therapeutic preschool and a children’s crisis stabilization unit.
Then, at the age of 29, I directed five successful child abuse prevention programs as Director of Child Abuse Prevention and Parenting Project. My interests shifted to early childhood trauma and the impact it had on growth and development and adult life.
I was drawn to using creative methods such as hypnosis, paradoxical interventions, and NeuroLinguistic Programming in sessions. I found that patients had more positive, lasting effects when I ventured beyond traditional talk approaches.
Healing My Way
In my late 20’s, anxiety, depression, and physical illness overwhelmed me. I sought therapy and traditional health care, but my physical health and emotional issues were slow to respond to mainstream treatments.
The focus on symptoms termination seems to pile on other symptoms. Feeling more hopeless and disillusioned — a sentiment echoed by many of my clients today, I also believed my life would be one of misery, and that scared me.
And then, I discovered holistic health and what is now called energy psychology.
The more I assessed my overall health through a holistic lens and gained perspective on family and cultural influences, the more my health improved. No practitioner or medical professional connected past trauma and unhealthy lifestyle to my health and overall functioning.
Although undeveloped, I was determined to find and create healing processes to heal myself and others as I was helped. Talking and taking medication was not enough!
As a practitioner, one who honors your quest, and an individual, who continues to explore new opportunities for personal growth, I can better serve you on your path to wellbeing. (Read my credentials below.)
My Current Professional Life
The focus of my professional development, personal healing, and private practice shifted to energy psychology. This focus led me to develop The Core Healing InitiativeTM (CHI)
Over the past 25+ years, this approach has transformed the lives of thousands by remediating long-standing symptoms and empowering them to move forward with new strength, confidence, and resilience.
